(NOTE: While the contents of this article remain unchanged, I have retroactively attached a picture and made a couple minor grammatical errors. Because I'm OCD like that.)

Wassup y'all? Today's Daily is going to be something of an experiment, as I'm actually typing this up on my phone. I'm in the backseat of a car today as it crosses into another state. This is either because I'm joining with the fam as we traverse for Thanksgiving festivities, OR because I'm being transferred to a new maximum security prison. You're welcome to accept whichever reality better accommodates my potentially iffy fantasy advice.

Well anyway, as I'm typing this on the phone -- through Blogspot's extremely so-so mobile configuring watchamacallit -- this edition of The Dailies is going to be both prone to spelling mistakes and slightly shorter than it normally is. It also won't have a picture if you're reading this on the Sunday I'm putting it up, as I'm currently unable to conjoin it with any of the new-fangled art I've been using lately.

Long story short, this is a special remixed version of The Dailies, so please bear with me. (By the way, I seriously spent the last few minutes Googling to make sure "bear with me" was the right spelling, because I've honestly like never written down that phrase before.)

All right. Let's see if I can do this without accidentally mashing out a series of incomprehensible itfnkesryhilpigergunryjgtqwe.
  • Cool, I can still use the bullet formatting on the mobile device. You know what, Blogger? I was too harsh about your mobile version. This isn't awful. Okay, so anyway...
  • Derrick Rose's potentially-catastrophic knee injury was in fact a torn medial meniscus, and if you're like me, you didn't know the human body contained such a part as a "medial meniscus" until yesterday. This was seriously as good as the news on Rose could possibly be; he's still going to require surgery, but there's a chance he can return later in the year. Of course, Rose is more or less toxic right now, and if you own him in a head-to-head league, you should seriously consider ditching him -- depending on how good your team is. Rose was so iffy coming back from just one injury, and it took him so long just to return to the court, that I wouldn't want any part of him. If you could sell him for a lesser commodity, even if it's just a Steve Blake, I think there's a strong chance you'd be vastly better off in the long run. Rose simply hasn't earned the collateral to be fully trusted even if/when he's able to get back on the court.
  • Steph Curry returned to the court on Saturday and had 22 points and 11 assists. He gets a couple days of rest now to be fully healthy when he next plays.
  • Glen Davis had 20 points off the bench in his season debut for the Magic. Davis is going to have ward off Tobias Harris for playing time soon, so his production is by no means a sure thing. Still, Jacque Vaughn likes him so much that he had him out there for the entirety of the fourth quarter, while Victor Oladipo played just 37 seconds of the last frame despite being awesome through three quarters (17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists). Davis isn't someone you need to dive for right now, but he could be an occasional factor now and then.
  • With James Harden resting his sore foot, Jeremy Lin got the start for Houston and had his predictably-terrific outing. More surprising was Aaron Brooks, who had 26 points and 6 three's off the pine. There's not much room for Brooks to do a lot when Houston is healthy, which is why this performance is fairly ignorable. Still, it says a lot for the Rockets' title chances that they have three point guards fully capable of getting the job done.
  • Chris Paul's neat little double-double streak came to an end on Saturday, as the league's best point guard finished with a mere 9 assists. It's a streak that will help his MVP campaign, but it's pretty unlikely you'll remember it 50 years from now -- unlike a certain historical event that "celebrated" it's 50th anniversary just the other day.
  • Andre Iguodala will not need surgery to repair the hamstring injury he suffered the other night. This is excellent news for his owners, though Iggy is still likely to be out for a few games to a few weeks. In the meantime, Harrison Barnes is your huckleberry.
  • Aight, this is as good a place as any to call it short. My phone has lost half its battery life since I started typing and is currently hot enough that you could roast an egg on it. With any luck, tomorrow I'll be able to type out a review of today's episode of The Walking Dead, which I think I'm going to ramble about each week until this half-season comes to a close. Even though T.W.D. isn't a perfect show, it lends itself beautifully to analysis, and I plan on taking advantage of that.
